Statement of Candidacy

With nearly 20 years of experience in the financial aid industry, Tammy Tomfohrde serves as the Executive Director of Student Financial Services at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU). In this role, she leads a dedicated team of 13 professionals who manage financial aid, student accounts, graduate assistantships, and student insurance. Tammy is committed to ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and financially.

Tammy and LMU’s Executive Leadership team has been meeting with Field Representatives from US Senators' offices monthly. The LMU team is fostering important connections and advocating for the needs of students and financial aid professionals at the congressional level. Tammy is passionate about expanding her network throughout the state and involving others in the organization to amplify their collective voice.

Tammy enjoys spending quality moments at the lake with her husband, children, and grandchildren in her free time. She is also an avid fan of reality TV and sporting events.
