Position: 4-Year Public Sector Rep
Dustin Aldridge
University of Tennessee - Knoxville

Statement of Candidacy
I am honored to have been asked to run for the 4-year Public Sector Representative on the 26-27 TASFAA Board. Although I am relatively new to the financial aid world, I have discovered a passion and drive I never knew that I possessed. Being such an integral part of helping people discover and achieve their best possible future is a privilege that I strive to be worthy of each day.
If elected as the 4-year Public Sector Rep, I will strive to ensure that our students have the best representation available to help them climb the heights that they wish to surmount as well as making sure that all our Financial Aid Administrators have the strongest voice possible to assist those students.
Professional Involvement
Over the past year I joined the TASFAA, SASFAA, and NASFAA families, attended the SASFAA New Aid Officers Workshop in Spartanburg, South Carolina on the Clyde Walker Scholarship Award, and volunteered for TASFAA's Belonging and Culture Committee and Conference Committee.
Work Experience
I currently work within the University of Tennessee Knoxville's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships as a Loan's Processor for Private and Federal Loans where I started in December of 2024. Prior to that, I worked in the manufacturing and customer service fields since graduating from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a BFA of English in 2012.
