Statement of Candidacy

I have worked in Financial Aid for about 8 years. I began as a Student Loan Specialist and VA SCO at Union University in 2018. In 2019, I went to work for Jackson State Community College. While at JSCC, I went from Financial Aid Office to Coordinator, and I now serve as the Director of Financial Aid. I am married to my beautiful wife, Melanie. We have three children; Ann Marie (7), Jackson (6), and Ellis (4). Even with all of the challenges of the last few years in our profession, I still very much enjoy the work we do and I am grateful for the camaraderie that exists within the field of Financial Aid.
