Statement of Candidacy
I am excited to submit my candidacy for the two-year Public Representative position with TASFAA. Financial aid has been the heart of my career for more than 15 years, and I am passionate about helping students and families navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming process. In my current role as a Financial Aid Coordinator at Pellissippi State Community College, I work directly with students every day to explain awards, resolve eligibility issues, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. I hold a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) credential and multiple NASFAA certifications, and I value ongoing professional development through my involvement with NASFAA, SASFAA, TASFAA. Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand how clear communication, empathy, and collaboration can make a lasting difference in student success. I would be honored to serve as a Public Representative and contribute my experience, dedication, and student-centered perspective to support the mission and members of TASFAA.
